The 23rd Annual Live in Lou Cross Country Classic will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at E. P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park.

What is the cost to attend the meet?
Admission for spectators is $15 per person, age 14 and older. Advance purchase recommended to expedite entry. Click HERE to purchase.

Are there awards for team and individual winners?
Yes, there will be awards for top three teams and top 25 individuals in each race.

Will athletes be able to run the course on Friday?
Yes the course will be open to athletes on Friday. Meet management reserves the right to close the course for inclement weather.

Where should I park?
When approaching the park, follow the parking attendants. They will direct you to the correct parking lots.
Where is the team camping area?
The team camping area is located behind the softball fields. This is the only area where teams are allowed to camp.
Will there be concessions?
Yes, concessions will be available.
Are pets allowed at the event?
No, pets are allowed at the event.
Will merchandise be sold at the event?
Yes. A merchandise tent will be located at the finish line chute.
Is the park wheelchair accessible?
Yes. E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park is wheelchair accessible. However, there are unpaved areas surrounding the cross country course where accessibility may be challenging.
Will there be a meet information table?
Yes, the meet information table will be located near the finish line chute.
Are there restrooms?
Yes. Bathrooms are available in several areas. There are flushable toilets and port-a-lets by the picnic pavilion at the top of the finish line chute. There are also bathrooms located in the gymnasium/swimming pool, which is located 100 yards north of the finish line.
What is the inclement weather policy?
In the event inclement or severe weather is forecast, race officials will monitor the weather in the local area. If a decision is made that participants and spectators must clear the course, an announcement will be made over the PA system and through the use of bullhorns. The meet director will continue to monitor the weather to determine if there will be weather-related delays or cancellations and announced accordingly.
